Caterpillar Class - Reception and Year 1

Welcome to Caterpillars who are a mixed Reception and Year 1 class. We are taught by Mrs Walsh with Mrs Sansom supporting our learning too.

PE

Our PE days are: Wednesday and Thursdays.

Children are to come into school in their PE kits on PE days.

Homework

We ask children read with an adult as often as possible for Reception, plus reading and spellings for Y1.

Useful Websites

• Help children to learn letter sounds
• Encourage children to use a tripod grip to hold a pencil (see below)
• Teach children to hold scissors correctly and practise cutting out shapes (please click here for video)
• Numberblocks and Numbots are brilliant for teaching children all about the number system.  BBC Bitesize also have great resources for maths games.     Please access the EYFS and KS1 games.
