Friends of St Mark's (PTA)

Our Friends of St Mark's (FoSM) plays an important role in bringing our school community together. By working in partnership with families and school staff, we organise events and fundraising activities that enrich school life and create memorable experiences for our children.

Every penny raised goes back into our school, helping to provide opportunities, resources and experiences that enhance learning and support every child’s individual growth. We want all children to develop their cultural capital by experiencing activities, events and opportunities that broaden their horizons, spark curiosity and build confidence beyond the classroom.

We are always looking for enthusiastic, active parents and carers to join our FoSM and help make a difference. We recognise that family life is busy, so we want to create a flexible, collaborative approach, with small groups of parents taking the lead on individual events. This means that responsibility is shared, no one person carries the full burden, and everyone can contribute in a way that works for them.

We also believe in giving our children a sense of ownership. Classes take responsibility for organising and running selected events, providing valuable entrepreneurial opportunities where pupils can develop creativity, teamwork, communication, problem-solving and financial awareness.

By working together, we can make a real difference to our children’s school experience. Whether you can offer a little time, share an idea or help organise an event, your contribution is valued. We would love you to be part of our Friends of St Mark's and help us create exciting opportunities for every child to learn, grow and flourish.
