School Meals
Children are offered a range of tasty and healthy school meals that are prepared freshly, on site every day by Chartwells. Lunch consists of a main meal (hot and cold with vegetarian options), pudding and water or milk. School meals are booked and paid for via ParentPay.
School meals are free of charge to all Infant children (from Reception to Year 2, inclusive). For more information on Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) please view the Government webpage.

Free School Meals
Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) if you as parents receive one or more qualifying benefits.
It is vital that all parents / carers who are entitled to these benefits apply for FSM even in Years R, 1 and 2 when you do not pay for school meals. If you do qualify, the school may receive extra funding to support your child’s learning in school.
From September 2026 there are two FSM eligibility categories;
Targeted free school meals
Eligible pupils are from households who:
- get Universal Credit with annual household earnings of £7,400 or less
- get support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- get Income-related Employment and Support Allowance or the guarantee element of Pension Credit
- are families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF)
Children on targeted free school meals will be eligible for Pupil Premium.
Expanded free school meals
Eligible pupils are from households that receive Universal Credit. They will only receive free school meals and no other support or funding.
Please refer to our Pupil Premium page for information about how this additional funding has been spent to help your children.
Fruit and Milk
EYFS and KS1 children benefit from the national free fruit and vegetables scheme and are provided with this on a daily basis to eat at break time. KS2 children are encouraged to bring in a healthy fruit or veg snack for morning break.
Early Years children are also entitled to a free serving of milk up until their fifth birthday, which parents need to sign up to, via Cool Milk.
