Pupil Leadership
We believe in creating a strong culture of pupil leadership, where children’s voices are heard and they play an active role in shaping and improving our school.
Through a range of leadership opportunities, pupils develop confidence, communication and teamwork skills, while learning to share ideas, challenge opinions respectfully and take responsibility. We value their contributions and encourage them to turn ideas into positive action within our school and wider community.
By empowering children to influence school life, we aim to create a community where every pupil feels valued and develops the skills to become a confident, responsible leader of the future.
This belief builds on our Christian values of Community, Friendship and Respect
Our Pupil Leaders are trained to help in delivering this vision through:
- Working alongside the staff in making key decisions
- Voicing opinions and ideas to improve learning and teaching
- Being visual around the school to promote good behaviour and safety
- Actively seeking the views of other pupils regarding key issues and changes in the school
Children can take on whole school responsibilities, such as Student Council, Play Leaders & Sports Crew, Faith Council, Eco Warriors and House Captains. In addition to these, children will take on responsibilities within their own classes, building a sense of belonging and ownership.
